Knobs: Scrub the timeline, zoom in and out
Designed, built and tested by one maker
Custom-designed PCBs, 3D-printed cases and QMK/VIAL firmware you can remap in your browser in seconds — no code, no drivers.

Built for
Every key and both knobs are yours to map. A few ideas for where to start:
Premiere Pro · DaVinci Resolve · Final Cut
Knobs: Scrub the timeline, zoom in and out
Fusion 360 · Blender · FreeCAD · KiCad
Knobs: Orbit and zoom the viewport
Lightroom · Photoshop · Affinity
Knobs: Exposure and brush size
OBS · Discord · Teams · Zoom
Knobs: Master volume and mic gain
These are examples. You map everything yourself in VIAL, with separate layers for different apps.

Compare
Same firmware, same encoders, same build quality. The difference is how many shortcuts you want under your fingers.

Both: RP2040 · QMK + VIAL · two push-button encoders · USB-C · hand-finished 3D-printed case
How it’s made
No white-label boards, no drop-shipping. I design the circuit, print the case and flash the firmware myself.
Sketched by hand in my notebook, then drawn up and routed in CAD.
Modelled in CAD, printed in PLA, wood-fill PLA or PETG, then sanded, sprayed and assembled by hand.
Encoders and switches go in, then QMK firmware with VIAL support — so you can remap it later without touching code.
Each switch, encoder detent and encoder press is checked on the bench. Nothing leaves untested.

Remapping
Your macropad ships pre-flashed with QMK and VIAL. Plug it in, open the configurator and drag keys around — changes save to the device itself, so they follow it to any computer.

I’m Francisco, a software developer with a one-person workshop in Málaga, Spain. I started building macropads because the shortcuts I wanted for CAD and photo editing didn’t exist on any keyboard I could buy.
Every order is built to order, which means I can change colours, keycaps and layouts before I start. If you want something specific, message me on Etsy first — I’d rather build the right thing than sell you the nearest thing.
FAQ
No. VIAL runs in any WebUSB browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera) at vial.rocks. Changes are written straight to the macropad’s onboard memory, so your layout travels with the device to any computer.
Yes. The macropad identifies itself as a standard USB keyboard, so it needs no drivers on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. Only the VIAL configurator needs a WebUSB browser.
Yes — message me on Etsy with what you have in mind and I’ll set up a listing for your build.
Each order is assembled, flashed and tested by hand, then dispatched within 1–3 working days with tracking. I ship worldwide; Etsy shows exact delivery estimates for your address at checkout.
Every unit is bench-tested before it ships. If something isn’t right, message me on Etsy: your order is covered by Etsy’s conditions, including my 30 days returns and exchanges policy and Etsy Purchase Protection.
